Adopt A Soldier

This is a very important subject to me and I am going to get my account set up immediately. I know someone who has done this and is very excited about it. I am also working with the USO with my NARPM organization to help the soldiers coming home. Please consider finding about about adopting a soldier. The support for things like this has waned as the War has drug on. Please think about it.

I emailed the soldier I adopted, Sgt. Duane Champagne of the U.S. Marine Corp, yesterday to find out if there was something in particular he would like for Christmas. I was very touched to find out that he did not want anything for himself but wanted me to put a care package together for one of the young members of his platoon that does not have family to send him things. Sgt. Champagne said that he himself has a wife and children at home that send him the things he needs but he felt it would uplift the spirits of some of his soldiers to received a gift from a random individual in the U.S. He chose a soldier who is from Texas that he will give my package to. It makes me feel so good to give to this cause....thanks Dave for tuning us in to this opportunity! I have already shopped for some things to send and I've actually bought things for two separate people in his platoon, a man and a woman.
